COAG Secretariat
The Council of Australian Governments Secretariat is located within the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet .
The Secretariat undertakes a range of administrative functions to support the intergovernmental framework. The Secretariat also provides assistance to the Prime Minister in her capacity as chair of the Council of Australian Governments and to the Secretary of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet in his role as chairman of the supporting committee of senior officials.
